Nitto Belgium is the largest production site of the Nitto Group in the EMEA region. The company was founded in 1974 in Genk, Belgium. Today Nitto Belgium manufactures sealing materials, reinforcing and damping materials and various kinds of industrial adhesive tapes such as double-sided tapes, surface protection tapes and electrical insulation tapes. These products are used in worldwide markets such as automotive, electronics, furniture, paper production, aerospace and metal processing.
Nitto Belgium is the 'knowledge center' of the Nitto Group in Europe and supports the establishment and growth of other group companies in the EMEA region.
The company realized a consolidated turnover of 200 million euro with 600 employees in fiscal year 2019-2020.

1967 | Nitto Electronic Industrial Co. (the former name of our mother company Nitto Denko Corporation) took its first steps on the European market with the start up of a sales office Nitto Deutschland, in Düsseldorf, Germany. |
1974 | Nitto Belgium NV was established in Genk, Belgium, as European headquarters and the first production facility for the Nitto group in Europe was constructed. |

1990 | A third production line for surface protection tapes was installed. |
1991 | Romimport stopped its activities and was acquired by Nitto Belgium to form Nitto Italia.
Nitto Belgium changed its name into Nitto Europe. |
1992 | A representative sales office was opened in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Nitto Europe received the ISO 9001 certificate. |
1993 | A third production line for double-coated adhesive tapes was installed. |
1998 | Nitto Europe started with the production of EPT-Sealer, an EPDM-based foam material. |
1999 | Nitto Europe celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Installation of the 4th production line for surface protection films. |
2001 | A new warehouse for intermediate stock was constructed. |
2002 | Nitto Europe started with the production of surface protection tape in a brand new clean room coating facility. |
2003 | Installation of the 4th production line for double-coated adhesive tapes.
Nitto Europe received the ISO 14001 certificate. |
2004 | Nitto Europe celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Nitto Europe opened a representative office in Moscow. Nitto Europe started with the production of the NVH materials: Legetolex for vibration damping and Nitohard for sheet metal reinforcement. |
2005 | Nitto Europe opened its Automotive Technical Center (ATC) in Genk. The technical centre consists of 4 testing laboratories where automotive specialists will perform tests on damping, reinforcing and sealing applications for our customers in the Automotive industry.
Nitto Europe received the ISO/TS 16949 certificate. |
2008 | Nitto Europe opened a representative office in Istanbul, Turkey.
Nitto Europe was the first Belgian company that receives the AEO certificate. (AEO = Authorized Economic Operator) |
2010 | Startup of Material handling company Nitto Denko Turkey in Tuzla, Turkey. The sales office in Istanbul moved to the new facility in Tuzla. |
2011 | A solvent recovery system was installed, allowing a significant reduction of CO2 emission by Nitto Europe. |

2014 | Foundation of Nitto Rus LLC in Russia. The existing branch office is integrated in the new company.
Integration of Slovakia branch office into group company Nitto Denko Czech. Nitto Europe celebrates its 40th anniversary. |
2016 | Nitto Europe NV is renamed to Nitto Belgium NV. The regional headquarter function is transferred to a new company Nitto EMEA NV. Nitto Belgium NV will concentrate 100% on its core activity as manufacturing company. |
