With the goal of creating a workplace environment in which anyone can work happily and enthusiastically, Nitto is expanding various systems related to diverse work styles.
The system makes it possible for employees to freely choose when to work between 6:00 am and 9:00 pm but does not include core time.
This makes it possible for employees to take annual paid leave in increments of one day, half day, or hour.
This system makes it possible for employees to work from locations other than the office, such as home or satellite office. (Employees have a wide range of options, including hybrid work (combination of office work and telework) and work-from-home).
This system makes it possible for employees to take a leave of absence of up to three years, as a general rule, when a spouse is working overseas.
Employees can retain up to 40 days of paid annual leave that they have lost, and in addition to normal paid annual leave, these days can be used for various purposes, including personal illness, pregnancy and birth, childcare, and long-term care.
This system makes it possible for employees to work a second job during non-scheduled work hours.
This system involves rehiring former employees who were forced to resign because of a life event, such as marriage, birth, long-term care, or spouse’s transfer. The system makes it possible for these people to once again play an active role at the company by leveraging their experiences and knowledge.
This system makes it possible for employees themselves to apply for and instigate a transfer to a position advertised in-house in order to support independent, long-term career development.
This is a work style based on telework (work-from-home).
Employees are provided a special leave and commemorative gift (travel coupons, etc.) depending on the number of years that they have continuously worked at the company (10, 20, and 30 years). This is done to recognize the employee’s many years of service and encourage them to play an even more active role.
Employees are able to take various types of leave, including ones for a wedding, spouse giving birth, death, disaster, or making a donation.
By building an environment that supports childcare and long-term care, we aim to create a system that is comfortable for all employees
Female employees are able to take six weeks of leave (fourteen weeks for multiple-fetus pregnancies) before giving birth and eight weeks after giving birth.
All employees can take leave for childcare until the child turns two years old. Childcare leave can be divided into two periods.
In addition to childcare leave, employees can take up to four weeks of leave within eight weeks of the birth of a child. Moreover, this leave can be divided into two periods.
This is a core flextime system available to employees with a child who is in elementary school or younger. Although wages are reduced, there is no problem even if the monthly workhours fall short of the set amount. Because employees can select the number of workhours per day, which is not possible with reduced workhours, the system makes flexible work styles that fit conditions at the employee’s home possible.
Employees with a child younger than three can work a reduced number of scheduled workhours per day, up to two hours less.
Employees with children younger than one can take up to five days of (paid) special leave.
Employees providing long-term care for a family member can take leave of up to one year (can be divided into three periods).
Employees providing long-term care for a family member can reduce the number of scheduled work hours two hours twice during a three-year period that starts from the first day of using the system for a particular family member.
Employees can receive support of up to 5,000 yen per day for at most 50 days a year if using such services as baby-sitter service for childcare.
Employees can receive support of up to 5,000 yen per day for at most 30 days a year if using such services as housekeeping service.
Employees can receive support of up to 5,000 yen per day for at most 50 days a year if using such services as home-helper for long-term care.
