How do I change the printer with a different printer of the same type?

To connect a new SF printer, the USB port setting in the printer driver must be changed.

DURAPRINTER SF manages the port setting in the driver through the printer’s serial number.
To connect a new SF printer, the USB port setting in the printer driver must be changed.
When a new SF printer is connected, the “Found New Hardware” pop up may be displayed.
In this case, after changing the USB port setting, refer to the DURAPRINTER SF operation manual and reinstall the driver in a plug-and-play status.

The USB port can be changed in the following manner:

  1. Use Label Studio.NET to change the USB port.
  2. Change the USB port from the printer driver.

  1. Connect the new printer to the computer and turn the printer on.
  2. Launch Label Studio.NET.
  3. Go to [File], and then choose [New].
  4. Select SF-600 from the printer selection window, and click [Change Port].
  5. The current printer’s port is displayed as [USBxxx]. Click [OK].

2. Change the USB port from the printer driver.

  1. Open the printer driver’s [Properties], and then select the [Port] tab to confirm the port connected. Close the window after confirmation.
  2. Connect the new printer to the computer and turn the printer on.
  3. Open the printer driver’s [Properties] and select the [Port] tab to find the new USB port. Select the new port and click [OK].
