On July 11, 2017, a delegation comprising mainly top managers and executives of manufacturing businesses from seven countries, including Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan, visited Nitto’s Toyohashi Plant as a part of a training program by the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships* (AOTS). For the second consecutive year, the Toyohashi Plant was chosen as one of the destinations for the program. The trainees were briefed on Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA), learned about relevant case studies, and witnessed a successful example of MFCA through a plant tour, thereby deepening their understanding of manufacturing in Japan and environmental management.

Nitto Denko (China) Investment Co., Ltd. supports Fengyi Town Elementary School in Mao County, Sichuan Province, which is attended by children from the Qiang ethnic minority group. After the company organized a soccer class in 2016 in cooperation with Total Football Asia (TFA), an organization geared toward promoting soccer in Asia, the school not only introduced a soccer curriculum, but also played games with other teams from Mao County.
On September 28, 2017, representatives from the company once again visited the school together with TFA members to organize two soccer classes and donated notebook PCs, physical education equipment, and other supplies.
The Nitto Group was the first in Japan to introduce material flow cost accounting (MFCA) on a trial basis, and we have long been instrumental in spreading this management tool. As such, we welcome visitors from within Japan and abroad every year.
On March 28, 2017, about a dozen individuals, including representatives from the MFCA Forum Taiwan Branch, paid a visit to our Ibaraki Office. The visit not only helped them to deepen their understanding of MFCA in Japan, but also provided us with an excellent opportunity to learn about what they do in Taiwan.
